Compare shortcut 

            The tools in Microsoft word that is used to compare or to combine changes between two documents by looking in line by line and side by side at the same time.

Internet-Based learning

              Internet-based language learning (IBLL) is a learning that delivered by the teacher to the student through a computer network and displayed by a web browser. Using IBLL provides students with a lot of genuine educational materials. it allows distance education, it can lead to autonomy, as learners control exercise regarding the learning process and little dependent on a teacher. in addition. by using it teacher and student can work wherever and whenever it is needed not only in class at a fixed time and pace.

PLATO ( Programmed Logic for Automatic Teaching Operations) 

             This is the first computer system that is designed to deliver lessons to the students at computer lab and at home since 1960s until 2006, it also provides several tools such as forum discussion , message boards, online testing, e-mail, chat rooms, picture languages, instant messaging, remote screen sharing, and multiplayer games.  

URL (Uniform Resource Locator)

              It is a standardized naming convention for addressing documents accessible over the internet. or a website address to access resources in a website 

Usability

              This is the concept in web 2.0. it refers to the ease of the user to use the website. this term means to the website whether it is efficient, effective and satisfying for the users to use it. usability extents the degree of the website can be used for the specific user to achieved the specific goal with effectiveness.

Asynchronous 

             It is the opposite of synchronous, which means happening at the same time. Think of “synchronous” as “in synch” and asynchronous as “out of synch.” If we're chatting on the phone, our communication is “synchronous.” We respond to each other immediately and when we hang up, the conversation's over. Email is asynchronous because we respond whenever it's convenient. In some cases, this means never, which can be mighty convenient.   

Folksonomy

            This is the process of using digital content tags for categorization or annotation. it allows users to classify website, pictures, documents and other forms of data so that content may be easily categorized and located by users. Folksonomy is also known as social tagging, collaborative tagging, social ckassification and social bookmarking

HTML (Hypertext Markup Language)

             It is the set of markup symbols or codes inserted in a file intended for display on a World Wide Web browser page. The markup tells the Web browser how to display a Web page's words and images for the user. Each individual markup code is referred to as an element (but many people also refer to it as a tag). Some elements come in pairs that indicate when some display effect is to begin and when it is to end.

Track changes

              This is a feature within most word processing applications that enables a user to keep track of the entire different types of alterations, changes or deletions made to a specific document. It records all changes made to the original copy of a document and provides the ability to restore the document to its original state.
